Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Red Gate Farms Equestrian Center, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms help us provide a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests, riders, and our beloved horses.

1. Services Offered

Red Gate Farms Equestrian Center provides horseback riding lessons, children’s summer camps, birthday parties, guided trail rides, photoshoots, and other horse-related experiences.

2. Booking & Payments

  • Reservations can be made online or by phone.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. Deposits may be accepted depending on the service.

  • Ride times include instruction, tack time, and all necessary equipment.

  • Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes early. Late arrivals may result in reduced ride time.

3. Rider Requirements & Safety Policies

We care deeply about the safety of our guests and the welfare of our horses. Please review the following:

  • Long pants and closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required.

  • Weight limit: 240 lbs. (subject to verification).

  • Riders must be age 11+ to ride independently; riders 7–10 will be ponied.

  • No trotting, cantering, or galloping on trail rides.

  • Helmets are required for all mounted riders.

  • Always keep one hand on the reins.

  • Loud noises, yelling, or disruptive behavior are not permitted.

  • Smoking is prohibited near stables or while riding.

  • Only one rider per horse.

  • Follow all instructions from your guide or instructor.

  • No phone use while riding.

  • Do not enter restricted areas without staff permission.

  • Riders must be able to mount, dismount, and follow basic instructions.

  • Horses must always be treated with kindness and respect.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 72+ hours in advance are eligible for a refund, minus a 3% processing fee per rider.

  • Rescheduling with less than 72 hours’ notice incurs a $15 fee per rider.

  • No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule rides due to weather, horse welfare, or other conditions, without penalty to the guest.

5. Media Release

By participating in any activity at Red Gate Farms, you consent to the use of photos or video recordings of you or your party in our marketing, website, and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify a staff member before your session.

6. Liability Waiver

All participants (or parents/guardians of minors) must sign a liability waiver before engaging in any equestrian activity. This is mandatory and non-negotiable.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Chatham County, GA.
