Family-owned for over 90 years, Red Gate Farms’ Equestrian Center was conceived through the family’s love of horses and the strong desire to preserve the property’s natural beauty.  Horses have been a part of the Red Gate Farms family since the beginning, and today, we offer an exploration of this special Savannah landmark on horseback or horse-drawn carriage. Throughout the property, you will find yourself surrounded by spectacular scenery, including centuries-old live oak trees, perfectly manicured and lush paddocks, glistening lakes, and other stunning aspects that makeup Savannah's countryside. Occasionally, our horses even make an appearance at on-property events! Although you will feel like you are hours away from the bustling city, Red Gate Farms is only minutes from Historic Downtown Savannah, making it an unparalleled experience for any occasion.  Red Gate Farms invites you to discover the hidden treasures of Savannah’s charming countryside.

We have an equine activity for everyone - any rider of any age or skill level.

RIDING
LESSONS

Each horse riding lesson offers a fun and safe program so each student gains a solid riding foundation. Offering riding lessons for both adults and children with the choice of group or flexible lesson plans.

TRAIL
RIDES

Each horse trail ride is a spectacular experience that lets you explore the beauty of Red Gate Farms, one you will treasure for a lifetime. We offer group or private trail rides and PONY RIDES for younger children.

KID
ACTIVITIES

We offer a range of fun and interactive activities for our younger riders, including pony rides, 'Paint the Pony' sessions and exciting farm days. These activities provide kids with a memorable and hands-on equestrian experience.

CARRIAGE
TOURS

Along our tours, you will find glistening lakes, wildlife, historic ruins, and beautiful natural landscapes. We offer carriage rides for groups of up to 6.

PARTIES

With various activities to choose from, plan an unforgettable and unique party for any occasion.

EDUCATIONAL
EXPERIENCES

A great activity for youth groups, scout troops, or a group of friends.  We even offer badge opportunities.

ADULT
PARTIES

A party package great for small groups - we even have a champagne add-on! Offering adult trail rides (up to 5) or carriage rides (up to 6) for your group.

EQUINE
CAMPS

We offer daily camps for the holidays during the school year and daily and weekly camps during the summer.

HOLIDAY
CAMP

Daily camps where each day children will get balance riding lessons, learn about caring for and feeding the horses, participate in team building games, and a surprise special activity.

SUMMER
CAMP

A spectacular week-long event including daily horseback riding lessons teaching basic horse care and horsemanship, arts and crafts, recreational games/activities, daily picnics on the farm, trivia, and more. A horse show and a pizza & pool party will be every Friday.
